Bangor welcomes the New Year with celebrating family friendly parties. It hosts a party known as Bangor Downtown Countdown 2015. The party begins late in the afternoon and involves New Year Eve ball drop, dance, live music, special dining and interactive activities for kids.

Fireworks Sugarloaf Mountain is an event which no one should miss. It begins at 9:15 pm with marvelous and spectacular colorful firework display which is sponsored by the bank of Maine. Last Blast 2014 is also a must attend beach party. The party begins at 5 pm and involves festivities like marshmallow toasting pits, hot cocoa, beach bonfire and the party ends with firework display. This firework display is known as Old Orchard Beach New Year’s Eve Firework.
